The Character of The Believer's Life and The Blessedness of His Death
Revelation 14:12-13

I want to show you two things tonight about all true believers, two things that distinguish the people of God from all other people in the world.

1. Believers Live Well – (v. 12).
2. Believers Die Well – (v. 13).

Those who live by faith die in faith; and those who die in faith are eternally blessed, both happy and blessed of God.

A. All True Believers Are Saints – Sanctified Men and Women.

B. The Believer Lives In Patience, Enduring All The Troubles of Life, Trials of Faith and Tribulations Of Satan For The Glory of Christ.

• Job's Troubles.


• Abraham's Trials.


• Peter's Temptations.

C. The Believer Is A Person Who Keeps The Commandments of God – (I John 5:1-4).

• He keeps and observes the Ordinances of Christ.


• He lives by the rule of God's Word.


• He obeys God from a principle of love and gratitude.

D. All True Believers Keep The Faith of Jesus Firm Unto The End.

• The Doctrine of Faith.


• The Principle of Faith.


• The Way of Faith.


• The Hope of Faith.

II. Here Is The Blessedness of The Believer's Death – (v. 13).

It does not matter when I die, where I die, or by what means I die, only let me die in the Lord!

A. The Believer Is Blessed In His Dying – (II Sam. 23:5).

B. God's Children Are Forever Blessed After They Die (II Cor. 5:1-9).

1. Once we have dropped this robe of flesh, we shall rest from our labors.

a. Labors of the Body.
b. Labors of the Soul.
c. Labors for Christ.
• The Toil of Labor.


• The Sorrows of Labor.


• The Faults of Labor.


• The Discouragements of Labor.


• The Strife of Labor.

2. And throughout the endless ages of eternity, those works which we have been enabled to perform for Christ will follow, to the praise, honor and glory of Christ.

a. Our works do not go before us to prepare the way for us. Christ has done that.
b. We do not carry our works with us as a basis for acceptance. Christ is our acceptance.
c. But our works shall follow us.

• The Fruits.


• The Beneficiaries.


• The Praise.
