BEHOLD THE FOYER OF HELL

BEHOLD THE FOYER OF HELL

Maurice Montgomery

Several days ago, on a Saturday, little Miss Amber Hagerman, nine years of age, was riding her bicycle near her grandparents home in Arlington, Texas. Someone in a dark-colored pickup truck came by and abducted her. The last time she was seen alive was as she was dragged from her bicycle, fighting and screaming, and forced into the pickup.

Little Miss Amber's body was found the following Wednesday in the floodwaters of a creek in the area. Her throat had been slit, and God only knows what horrible and terrifying indignities and atrocities she may have suffered before her throat was slashed, ending her young life.

My dear brothers and sisters, crimes of this nature are increasing rapidly throughout the United States. All crime is grievous to the moral and decent, but crimes of this nature, crimes against little children, are most reprehensible and absolutely repugnant to natural or common human reason. Crimes of this nature tear at the very heart of all decent folk.

Crimes of this nature clearly reveal, according to the Word of God, that there is no fear of God in the land, that God is giving men over to reprobation, to manifest their most base and beastly desires and conduct. Almighty God, in His sovereign providence, is removing His restraining mercies from our nation. We, as Israel of old, have turned our backs to God and His holy Word, and now He has turned His back upon us as a nation (Jeremiah 2:27; 18:17; 32:31-33). This, dear brothers and sisters, is the very FOYER OF HELL.

I can only pray, 0 Lord God, "Save thy people bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever" (Psalm 28:9). (If you would like a description of our nation laid out before you, read Jeremiah and Ezekiel. There also you will see the door of hope – IN GOD!
