When Christ hung upon the mount,
There was opened up a fount;
Precious blood He shed that day,
Washed our guilt and sin away.
Christ was sacrificed for sin,
Justice pierced Him deep within;
God was fully satisfied,
When His Son was crucified.
"It is finished," Jesus cried,
Bowed His sacred head and died;
By that death He saved the lost,
Paid for us the awful cost.
All for whom the Savior died,
Were redeemed and justified;
When our Sacrifice was slain,
Bless His precious, holy Name!
Jesus saves! Oh precious sound,
May this theme on earth abound.
Saints go forth, to sinners tell,
"Jesus saves from sin and hell!"
Let us now with one accord,
Worship Jesus Christ our Lord;
Praise the Lamb of Calvary,
Now and through eternity.
