Low before Thy throne of mercy,
Hear this mournful beggar cry;
I have sinned, but Lord restore me
For without Thee I must die!
By the blood of Calvary's mountain,
Sinners were redeemed and freed;
Come and cleanse me in the fountain,
Wash me Savior, hear me plead!
In Thy Word I hear Thee saying,
"Come and I will give you rest;"
In my heart, Thy call obeying,
I now lean on Jesus' breast.
Precious Savior I do trust Thee,
Come remove my sin and grief;
Now in faith I call upon Thee,
Give my soul a sweet relief.
Join ye saints to praise our Savior,
By His blood and righteousness,
With the Father we have favor,
Gather now His Name to bless.
Tell to all the world this story,
Christ can save the sinful soul;
Sing His praise and give Him glory,
He by grace has made us whole!
