THE LAMB OF CALVARY

Behold three crosses stood one day,
Upon Mount Calvary;
And on the middle tree Christ hung,
The sinner's perfect Plea,
The sinner's perfect Plea.
How else shall sinners like ourselves
Be cleansed and pure within?
Unless the Lamb of God is slain,
And dies bearing our sin,
And dies bearing our sin.
God's righteous Law and justice say,
"The soul that sins shall die."
So Jesus came our sins to bear,
God's Law to satisfy,
God's Law to satisfy.
He died upon the cruel cross,
And bore our penalty;
Now God can fully justify,
From sin He sets us free,
From sin He sets us free.
O bless the Name of Jesus Christ,
Redeemer, Savior, Friend.

And shall be without end,
