RELIEVE ME OF MY GUILT

O make me, Lord, my guilt to feel,
And speak Thy Word my soul to heal;
I am a worm, lost and undone,
And here I bow before Thy throne.
Pour out forgiveness, send relief,
This sinner prays with solemn grief;
I to the Savior now apply,
Save me by grace or else I die.
Lord take away whate'er thou wilt,
Only relieve me of this guilt;
Grant my request and set me free,
Cleanse by the blood of Calvary.
Jesus my Savior, He must be,
None else could save a wretch like me;
I now repent, believe, confess,
Come clothe me with His righteousness.
