MY HOPE IS IN GOD'S LAMB

Where shall my sinful, naked soul,
A covering ever find?
My God requires that I must have,
One of a perfect kind.
No work of mine can hide my sin,
No tear can wash my shame;
No earthly pow'r can cleanse my guilt,
Or e'er remove my blame.
The righteousness of Christ alone,
Must clothe my guilty soul;
His blood which washes sin away,
Must cleanse and make me whole.
So to the Savior I now flee
No merits do I bring;
I trust His blood and righteousness,
And to His cross I cling.
Clothed in His holiness I know,
I shall accepted be;
For in the righteousness of Christ,
I am as pure as He.
Dressed in His robe, all clean and white,
Secure and safe I am;
Let come what may, this I confess,
My hope is in God's Lamb.
