I praise the Lord for saving me from sin,
Wretched, polluted, full of guilt within;
But God decreed salvation's gracious plan,
And chose to save this hell-deserving man.
Chosen in Christ in old eternity,
I stood accepted in my Surety;
He came to live and die upon the tree,
To satisfy His law and set me free.
O Holy Ghost, I praise Thee for Thy grace,
Faith and repentance unto Thee I trace;
Jesus I see, must be my All in all,
Within my heart I humbly on Him call.
Salvation is by sovereign grace divine,
In grace God saved this sinful soul of mine;
What wondrous love to save a wretch like me,
His praise shall be my theme eternally.
