HYMN OF GRACE
ACCEPTED IN CHRIST
(Tune: There Is A Fountain)
I look within my blackened heart,
Some spark of good to find;
But all is dark and full of sin.
And terror fills my mind.
The holy God requires that I
Be perfect, good and pure;
To be accepted and received
And evermore endure.
With anxious hope I look within
The Word of God to find;
Some portion which will give to me,
A gospel word so kind.
Glory to God! The gospel says,
"Christ Jesus came to earth;
To save poor, wretched sons of men,
Sinners who have no worth."
His life was perfect and complete,
His death atonement made;
The purchase price to save my soul,
Was by the Savior paid.
By sovereign grace I come to Him,
Whose blood must set me free;
I cast my soul upon the Lamb,
Who died on Calvary.
Accepted in the Son of God,
Forever justified;
He is my hope, my trust, my all,
My heart is satisfied.
No matter what shall come to pass,
In Christ my hope shall be;
My soul is pardoned through His blood,
And saved eternally.
