"His People"

"His People"
Matthew 1:21

She shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins"–Matthew 1:21

As this is a statement right out of holy Scripture, I am sure no one would dare to dispute these words

As this is a statement right out of holy Scripture, I am sure no one would dare to dispute these words. That being true, let us draw seven conclusions.

1. Jesus Christ has a people that He came into this world to save and they are called "His people."

2. Those for whom He came were "His people" before He came to save them.

3. Since He came to save "His people," and everyone is not saved, then there must be some people in this world who are not "His people." He did not come to save them.

4. He shall not fail to do what He came to do because it says "He shall save His people from their sins."

5. Though these were "His people" before He came, they needed to be saved "from their sins" and this was a task that He alone could accomplish.

6. Though these were "His people" they needed to be saved from sins: the penalty of sins, the dominion of sins, the power of sins and the presence of sins.

7. Since the angel said "He shall save his people" then "His people" shall be saved, must be saved with a perfect salvation and cannot possibly wind up any other way except saved.
