The Lord Jesus Christ has passed by many and said to them, "Follow me, and they arose immediately and followed Him." But, there are many more that He has passed right on by, leaving them to their own desires. There are many who go on in their sin who are really glad that Jesus passes them by and goes on to another. I have been preaching the Gospel of God's Grace for over 30 years, to people of all walks of life, and I have never seen anybody get mad when Jesus passed them on by.
The only reason we are saved is owed to His sovereign mercy. If left to ourselves, we would be lost. Some who have been passed by are more moral, more religious, and better than we are. If God has called you, it is the Free Grace of God. That is why He must get all the glory. "Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake."
