WHEN GOD IS IN OUR CHURCH, This Gospel becomes vital. Christ becomes the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Life is put into everything we do. We are just like that "valley of dry bones" in Ezekiel 37, until the Lord breathes into us that "breath of life." When God breathes into us that breath of life, sermons are no longer dull. But, if God is not in our church, all we do in this thing we call religion, is SLAVERY.

WHEN GOD IS IN OUR CHURCH, This Gospel becomes so simple. Are you not amazed that the Gospel is so simple. There was a time when it seemed so confusing and complicated, but the Lord God of Heaven opened your eyes, and you saw the Lord Jesus Christ "lifted up," and you saw that all we can do is "believe on Him whom God has sent," and now we look on it as so simple, it is hard to understand why people do not come to Christ.

WHEN GOD IS IN OUR CHURCH, He is there, not in rituals and formality, but He is really there in the power of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is present, He takes the Word of God that is preached and with it, convinces men "of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment to come," and He comforts those in distress, with this same word. He wipes away all tears.

I pray that we are not working on bringing things into the church in order to get God into our churches. Especially I pray that you are not doing things to get God into you lives. Visible things, enthusiasm, noise, man, rituals, and novelties will not bring God to us, but drive Him further away. Having things in your heart does not mean that God is there.

I ask you this question, is the glory of the Lord in your camp? Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for the saving of your soul? Christ is the only remedy for sin-sick souls. We are not any better in our standing before God just because we are religious. We must know Christ! We are not better just because we go to church. We must know Christ! We are not better just because we have a religious routine. We must know Christ! We are not better just because we know the Bible. We must know Christ! "Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." If we do not find Christ in what we believe and practice, we believe to the damnation of our soul.

All religion, without Christ, is nothing more than a body which has no life in it.
