TWO GREAT CONTRADICTIONS

TWO GREAT CONTRADICTIONS

Jim Byrd

1 Nothing can be more of a contradiction than for a person to say "I love God," and yet hate his brother. You cannot love the Lord and at the same time hate the image of the Lord standing in front of you. The person who loves Christ bears the image and likeness of the Savior he loves.

2 It is also a contradiction for a person to profess to have been forgiven by God and yet harbor grudges and refuse to forgive those who have wronged him. Those who are forgiven – forgive. Those loved of the Lord – love others. Those to whom grace has been shown – are gracious. Those who have received mercy – extend mercy
