The Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said; "... I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: ..." The natural man does not know (and would never admit if he did) such a humbling and convicting truth about himself. John Schulz once said, "Let a man talk long enough and he will reveal what's in his heart." I have found this to be so true. Instead of a humble, honest spirit, most folks (men, women and children), when speaking about themselves, manifest a haughty, arrogant, proud spirit. One man said to me; "I just don't see the quality in other folks that I see in myself." Another man angrily stated: "I'm just as good as you are!" "I wouldn't argue that at all", I replied, "but that's not good enough." In response to that, he audaciously stated that he was just as good as Jesus Christ. I did argue that, pointing out to him that Jesus Christ is the Holy, Spotless Lamb of God; yea, more! Jesus Christ is God Almighty, PERFECT IN PERSON, PURPOSE AND POWER. When finite, sinful men attempt to hide their sin and shame, they are foolishly trying to place themselves on an equal plane with God which is an open manifestation of their blind, depraved heart.

There is only one way that sinful men and women can enter God's Kingdom; into the very presence of God Himself. WE MUST BE AS HOLY AS GOD HIMSELF! Impossible? With men, yes–BUT GOD HAS PROVIDED A WAY! That way (the only way) is through God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. When we, by faith, embrace Jesus Christ as our LORD and our SAVIOUR, God imputes His own righteousness to us. We have a Divine Promise from God Himself that THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF HIS SON CLEANSES US FROM ALL SIN (1st John 1:7). This is GOOD NEWS to the honest sinner who SEES NO GOOD IN HIMSELF. This is the message that causes the heart to rejoice in Christ Jesus and place no confidence in the flesh. This is what moves God's people to SEE CHRIST AS THEIR ALL IN ALL. This is the TRUE GOSPEL that opens blind eyes to see CHRIST AS OUR WISDOM, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND SANCTIFICATION, AND REDEMPTION. This is the very truth that God has ordained to reveal to His elect that fills their hearts with praise and worship to the Lord Jesus Christ. A heart that has no room for boasting except in the Lord. A heart that can honestly say, "I'm only a sinner, SAVED BY THE SOVEREIGN GRACE OF MY GOD.
