"GRACE HAS ALWAYS MEANT, AND ALWAYS WILL MEAN UNMERITED FAVOR and comes from the God of all grace. Who is seated on the throne of grace. God has the right, and He sovereignly exercises that right, to bestow grace on whomsoever He will–thus the term SOVEREIGN GRACE. This wonderful, amazing grace that comes from God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord to the elect of God is a glorious manifestation of the distinguishing love God has for His own chosen people. When the awakened sinner is made aware of this undeserving, unmerited, unspeakable favor of God, the innermost being of that chosen individual is flooded with a wonderful peace that he never knew before–an awareness of a perpetual peace with God through the atoning work of Jesus Christ our Saviour. So the order found in our text is right; "Grace be unto you, and peace". There is absolutely no peace with God apart from the grace of God. GRACE ALWAYS PRECEEDS PEACE. And the results of this sovereign act of our gracious heavenly Father is true worship and prase to the true and living God, the Lord Jesus Christ from the hearts of His blood-bought people.
