It is a great privilege to be born in a home where the gospel is believed. It is a great privilege to attend a church where the gospel is preached. But, as great as these privileges are, neither will assure you of God's salvation. I am certain that your parents would gladly give you God's salvation if it were in their power to do so. I would gladly give it. But the scriptures are very plain: God's children are "not born of blood (that is heredity) nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." Even though you have parents and pastor who believe God, YOU NEED CHRIST! You need to be born again. Do not trust in the fact that both your parents and I pray for you: pray for yourself. Seek the Lord for yourself. Do you know yourself to be a sinner? Then you know that you need a Savior. Christ is the only Savior able to save sinners such as yourself. With all the love and compassion I can muster, I say with Isaiah, "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while he is near." As much as you can, listen to the sermons I preach week by week, and apply them to yourself. May God give you grace to believe His Word!
